The Wrap Begins

And so it begins, these few days of wrap. Last Friday night was the last taping. Was a rather nice time. We found out that we got picked up for another season, which is great to know since it means we all have a job to come back to. The only drawback was that the taping was far too long. Curtain call wasn't until 12:30am. Suck. Big suck. But the after party was pretty fun, however short lived. Got some pix with my stacked buddies, which are up in the last entry. Enjoy. I did. ~ M

Had the table read today for episode 3. Incredibly funny. Highly recommend it. Think it will air 4/27. Wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it. ~ M

Back again to taping the Pilot. Kinda wierd to watch the run thrus since we have already seen the show before. It is kinda cool though that they have been able to go back and punch up the jokes even more after already seeing the show with an audience. They have come up with some great new stuff for this reshoot. The crazy thing is that it sounds like they are still airing on April 13.... Which obviously means that they only have 6 days to cut the show. Sure, they've cut it before, but still, it's quite the turn around time. Especially since they normally take more than a month to turn things around. Here's to sleepless nights. ~ M

After all the madness... After all the insanity... After all the scrambling and cursing... Episode two is shot. It was quite the adventure to get there, but now film is in the can (tapes are in their boxes) and everything goes to post. Thankfully, the main production is now in shutdown. Finally a time when the phone isn't ringing off the hook. Finally some time to catch up. I'm gonna go get some breakfast. Yum.

The new script came out late last night, but it's looking pretty good. Everything seems to be going alright with Elon thus far. He's picked up the part rather well considering he has had it for less than 48 hours. Gotta run and make some pages! More later if I'm lucky!

The Craziness Begins

So we all thought this was going to be a nice peaceful order of six episodes. Nothing crazy. Nothing difficult. But it seems that is not to be the case after all. Dearly beloved Tom seems to be no more. He has been recast. How crazy it is, I know. The new guy is named Elon Gold. He’s a standup. He’s pretty funny. But of course this means we will have all sorts of work to do, since obviously we have already shot the pilot, and now it looks like we will be shooting it all over again. Hmm… You say? Lesson of Hollywood: There is never enough money to do things right, but there is always enough money to do things twice. Fortunately, things usually turn out better the second time. Hopefully that will be the case here.

After a long day of reshoots, no better way to unwind then to bar hop with some ladies. Highly recommend The Standard - Downtown LA. Know someone on the list though, or else it might be a long wait. But well worth it. ~ M   3:02AM

PS: Bart the Friendster guy is probably just landing in NY. I am tempted to call him just to be a jerk.

Late Nights Are In!

You haven't lived until you have worked a 12 hour day. You haven't really lived until you've worked a 16 hour day. You haven't really really lived until you've worked consecutive 16 hour days! =O) I Love This Business! It's gonna be a late night.
